Wedding Day at One Kings Lane
One King’s Lane is full of wedding sales today! Some great ideas for personalized gifts for the bride, groom or bridal party, honeymoon accessories, and decor accents.
Had a great time at Kanibal Home’s bridal event in Jersey City. Here’s a sneak peak of highlights including origami paper cranes and DIY accessories by Karma Flowers, awesome stationery by Nightingale Projects and vintage jewelry by National Estate Jewelers. Not to mention some lovely strawberry mint cocktails!
A Game of Thrones Proposal
So, maybe Game of Thrones has nothing to do with weddings, but how would you like to get proposed to on the Iron Throne? This couple was visiting the Game of Thrones Exhibition in NYC this week to catch a glimpse of some of the costumes and props from the set. The now groom-to-be used the Iron Throne to propose to his girlfriend. For Game of Thrones fans like this couple (and my hubs and I), that’s quite a memorable moment! Check out the proposal here.

A Series of Fortunate Events ~ Aparna and Karthik’s Mehndi
Not only is Aparna creative, but she was also a cost effective bride. She had her bridal mehndi done by her cousin, at home and with karaoke as the entertainment. All great ideas for the budget focused bride!
From Aparna ~ We had a mehndi for family and friends at my house. My cousin is an amazing mehndi artist so she did my bridal mehndi. I was really excited to have her do this because not only is she really talented but if I was going to sit still for hours at a time I would much rather it be with someone I know! We had traditional Gujarati food at the party because Karthik’s family is South Indian so we wanted to do something a little different. We also had a Karaoke machine with English and Hindi songs.
